Ira Caminong

Ira got started with cycling when he started his undergrad years at CSUN. He decided to ride his bike from the Burbank to Northridge whenever he has class. He started out riding a fixed gear. Eventually, He decided to get a road bike and hoped for a racing team that would take him in. Bicycle.net was crazy enough to take him.

Ira’s favorite route is Angeles Crest all the way up to Mt. Wilson.

His most memorable race is VleesHuis Ronde at Bakersfield. Unfortunately, he was not in the breakaway or anything like that. But he did do all the pulling for his group. He’s not proud of that at all, but he will do that race again in a pink helmet. Did I mention that he wears a pink helmet?
