I was 205 lbs 3 years ago, and a few buddies asked me to join them on a bike ride. I was unable to keep up. Not even close. Dr told me to drop 10 lbs. Long story short, 50 lbs of later, I took up cycling and pretty decent on the bike.
My favorite route is the Topanga/Old Topanga Loop. My go to quickie ride is Nichols Canyon to Hollywood Reservoir loop.
